Are You Aware of Grace Snell Middle School's Attendance Protocol?

If your child is absent from or tardy to school, he/she will need a detailed excuse note.  No child can be checked out after 3:00 p.m.
The state only accepts eight reasons for being tardy or absent from school.  Students should always bring in a note from the parent/guardian when returning to school after an absence.  Excuses from a doctor’s office are also acceptable.  For your convenience, a link to an excuse form is provided below.  This form may be used in the place of a handwritten note.    All excuses should be given to the student’s homeroom teacher.

Filling out and turning in the Grace Snell MS Attendance Excuse Note will help ensure that the student's absence is properly coded in our records.
